BlackJack (aka 21) is the most popular casino game in American casinos, and one of the most popular casino games in the world. The popularity of BlackJack took off in the 70s, with the advent of card counting. In a typical blackjack game, the dealer will deal himself two cards, one face up and one face down. The dealer will then deal each player two cards face up. The dealer will then allow each of the players to hit. If a player goes over 21, he busts, and the dealer takes his bet. If the player does not bust, the dealer will continue to deal himself cards until he reaches at least 17 (on some tables the dealer may hit on Soft 17), or he busts. If the dealer busts, all the players who have not yet busted, and have a score higher than the dealers will receive even odds on their bet. If the player has the same score as the dealer, the game is a push and the player keeps his bet. Otherwise the player looses his bet.
